Thai Style Noodle Eatery Serves Up Superior Beef Soup Experience
Certified Angus Beef® in Las Vegas is usually associated with high end American Steakhouses, and a few Southwestern recipes, there is one unique restaurant serving the "Best Beef Noodle Soups in Las Vegas" who beg to differ. Kung Fu Thai and Chinese restaurant located on the Southwest corner of Valley View Blvd, and Spring Mountain Road has been marrying the Best of the Best, in culinary creations. This marriage, brings about a spectacular Thai Noodle Soup Bowl that is second to none, along with the Best Mongolian Beef in Las Vegas, cooked from a homemade sauce, which bonds the Best Beef in America with the Best Mongolian Sauce, resulting in an exemplary Asian Culinary dish.
Best Soups in Las Vegas is boiling every day at this humble Asian kitchen, which is situated at the starting point of Chinatown Las Vegas. Master Chef Thaan literally assembles the best of both worlds, where East meets West; The Best Beef in the form of Certified Angus Beef® slices, and the Best Beef Broth of Asia, the Thai Spicy Beef Noodle Soup with its authentic Siamese broth recipe which was perfected by Chefs in Thailand over several generations specifically tailor-made for the meat. Cooked with medium sized rice noodles which is also known as the “Pho” noodles at Vietnamese eateries, the resulting combinations has both Thais, Westerners, as well as Asians at awe at how good a piping hot, noodle soup with beef could taste, especially in Vegas.
Since becoming the first Asian restaurant to receive the distinctive Certified Angus Beef License, Kung Fu Plaza has been introducing the best beef in America to Asian food diners in Las Vegas, who would otherwise be served USDA Select graded beef in their Chinese and Thai dishes at other Asian eateries. “Wow, my Mongolian Beef doesn’t taste like a dead animal”, remarks Tim, who orders our most popular Certified Angus Beef® stir fry on a weekly basis, at his workplace along the Las Vegas Strip corridor. Part of achieving that perfect taste lies in the amount and consistency of marbling a piece of beef has, which is the key to Flavor. Fine Marbling found on Certified Angus Beef®, brings out flavor in beef, since the more marbling a beef has the more flavorful will be the dish. All this fine marbling results in a great tasting supper, once the meat is cooked at one of the restaurants large stationary wok, which reaches temperatures upwards of 500⁰ F, the extreme heat melts the fine marbled fat, allowing the ingredients and/or sauces to become fused together with the Beef, thus becoming a single unit, able to melt in your mouth with every bite.
Best Beef In Las Vegas
Best Beef in Las Vegas, is made possible by serving up Certified Angus Brand® in every beef dish on a restaurant’s menu. The non-profit organization, was established by the American Angus Association, which is comprised of several generations of cattle producers throughout North America, in 1978. Today, they are the largest breed-registry organization in the world. In order for Beef to be labeled Certified Angus, it must always pass ten quality standards before the Certified Angus Beef Label is put on it. This standard, which is relentlessly evaluated by a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) grader, and never ever are they evaluated by an independent Company, University, Organization, and or a plant employee, include the following criterias:
- Modest or Higher Marbling
- Medium to Fine Marbling TEXTURE
- Maturity
- 10-16 square inch rib-eye area
- Less than 1,000 lbs hot carcass weight
- Less than 1 inch fat thickness
- Superior Muscling restricts influence of dairy cattle
- Practically Free of Capillary rupture ensures quality appearence
- No dark cutters ensures consistent appearance and flavor
- No Neck Hump exceeding 2 inches which safeguards against Brahman-influenced cattle, Brahman cattle has more variation in tenderness.
Great Beef is hard to find, that is why only one in four Angus cattle throughout North America will qualify for the brand. As of 2013, there are 165 USDA Certified beef programs, out of that 123 are Angus based. Finding good beef is not an easy task, that’s why every plant that is licensed to package the Certified Angus Beef® brand has a dedicated resident Inspector on site from the USDA constantly monitoring and grading the product for conformity, and consistency. The result of all this hard work is beef that is a cut above, USDA CHOICE, even, USDA PRIME Beef itself.
Immaculate Beef dishes in Vegas is made possible by the relationship a restaurant has with their suppliers. As we continue to introduce residence and visitors alike to Sin City, North Las Vegas, and Henderson to Great Beef Noodle Soups, Certified Angus Beef® Thai Salads, or even the Certified Angus Beef® Satay, we have also continually developed a deepening relationship with Sysco Food Service, the Licensed distributor of Certified Angus Beef for Southern Nevada, and the ranchers of the the American Angus Association. Just recently, we attended the “Chef’s Table Event” which brings Restaurateurs and the Certified Angus Beef® Ranchers together.
Nebraska to Las Vegas: Certified Angus Beef
The event this year, featured Angus Cattle Ranchers Arlen and Becky Sawyer of Bassett, Nebraska. The forum is filled with inside information, on how they raise the best Angus Cattle in the world, from having the best grazing land, the Northern Sandhills of Nebraska, which is also the largest cattle grazing field in the United States. The Nebraska Sandhills still have over 85% of its natural habitat in place, which covers over 12 million acres or 20,000 square miles. A and B cattle, which the Sawyers own, is also situated in the largest cattle grazing county in the State of Nebraska. “I was especially interested in meeting the Sawyers because Arlen Sawyer was born into the cattle business much like I was born into the restaurant business,” says Allan Wong, General Manager of Kung Fu Thai and Chinese Restaurant. “He is a third generation cattle rancher and while I am a second generation restaurateur, some of our recipes and techniques span ten or more generations.”
The Sawyer’s are an independent Angus Cattle breeder, and his family originally established their registered Angus Herd back in 1917. An Angus cattle are black hornless cattle that is native to Aberdeenshire, Scotland, dating all the way back to 1523. And people say Kung Fu is old. The Scotts established the first Angus Registry in 1858, and the first Aberdeen Angus was imported to the United States in 1873. Today, there are more than 21,000 Angus Cattle registered in Nebraska alone, with 9 historic herds that have been maintained by the same generations of family for well over 50 years, according to the American Angus Association, the owner of the Certified Angus Beef Brand®. Together with other restaurateurs throughout Las Vegas who take pride in serving their clients the Best Beef in North America by using only Certified Angus Beef® the forum was another eye opening event where we all come together and share our experiences with one another. “As far as I know, Kung Fu Plaza is still the only Thai and Chinese Restaurant to be a Certified Angus Beef® Licensee.
